Ocular Prosthesis Clinic

Azar Eye Clinic hosts renowned ocularist Dr. Antonino “Tony” Deleza and his team who travel from Houston, TX to serve the Lafayette and Acadiana community. An ocularist is a carefully trained technician skilled in the arts of fitting, shaping, and painting ocular prostheses (artificial eyes). In addition to creating artificial eyes, the ocularist shows the patient how to handle and care for the prosthesis, and provides long-term care through periodic examinations. Ophthalmic Prosthetics, Inc. has been providing ocular prostheses for patients in Texas and Louisiana for more than 40 years.

Ophthalmic Prosthetics, Inc. is a contracted provider with Medicare and Medicaid and other government insurance and related agencies, (Tricare, Champa, VA, and many others). Since other commercial insurances WILL PAY FOR OCULAR PROSTHESES, assignments of benefits will be accepted. Patients can be seen without concern for any major direct out-of-pocket expenses.
